Sqeak at the nut

I have a Fender Strat and recently I noticed the first string the E started to sqeak at the nut whenever I bend the string. Before I start taking things apart I thought I'd ask what it could be here.

You could try the pencil trick - loosen the strings and put a little graphite from a sharp tipped pencil in the slot. That should stop the squeak - but it probably means you need to have that groove filed a bit, since it sounds like it may be 'binding' the string.

Well at least it's not your G string that's squeaking your nut.
