splitting signal from mic and phantom power

Hello,

I plan to split a pair of microphone signals to two different mixers. From what I've read, merely "Y"-ing the chord should suffice rather than transformer isolate the signals. The qustion I still don't have answered is only one mixer should have the phantom power on, right? What would happen if both mixers were switched to +48?

Thanks!

Yes, there should only be one phantom power source in a passive split like you are talking about. If there are two sources, everything may be OK, or you may also find that the mic does not behave as expected.
