Well, how do you do it?

I like the first half of my first vocal take and the second half of my next vocal take, and I want to cut and splice the two parts I like into one track. How do I get Cool 1.2 to think those two segments are to be one track?

Just trying to be a wise ass.
After snapping the two waves together, why not do a mix down of that wave form? What happens if you do that?

Interested in te results.

Ok dobro,
Select the two overlapping tracks. After positioning the cursur where you want it of course. Then right click and in the right click menu, select splice. Now both tracks are spliced in the same place. Select and delete the second part of your track 1, select and delete the first part of track two. Then drag the two together into one track.

I think Dobro already knows how to splice. What he is probably asking is for CEP to recognise the track as one (save it as one track).
By right clicking just above the meter you can select snap to wave form, whereby, if you drag one of the spliced wave form using the right click closer to the other it snaps the two ends together.
What I was wondering is what if, after making sure the the points at which they meet match(forgotten how to do that), you mix down just the two points or waves?
James.
