does anyone know if there are any known issues with using "Spitfish" with aux busses? I have it set to a bus, with the same settings as every other plug-in I've ever bussed, but it acts as if it's not being bussed. I'm honestly confused, and I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. btw, it's the only effect on that bus, so I'll try another effect to test. if anyone knows anything about existing issues, it would be greatly appreciated.

You don't "send" a de-esser... You insert it.

Yup..... de-essing an aux send, then returning it to the buss does practically nothing. The only way that would work is if you take the send pre-fader, pull the channel fader all the way down, and only the aux return reaches the stereo buss. But the only reason you might do that is to try to get multi-channel use out of a single hardware de-esser.

What you're doing is mixing a de-essed version back in with the original sibillent signal, which doesn't accomplish anything. This applies to dynamic processing as well (compressers and limiters).
