Hey guys...another re-do here. One day I will write a new song, but right now I'm recording my guitar and vocals for some of my older tunes.

Some of you have already heard this tune. How is the balnce of the vox and how do the guitars sound?

Thanx for the feedback.

(song should start right away, but sometimes the player mixes up the tunes...make sure it's "Spiders in my Head")

SPIDERS IN MY HEAD

RAMI the remix machine....................

Sounds nice...Vocals sound awesome!!!

I still have to find some time to work on your mixoff song. :( :(

Hi,

Really liked the chorus / change, well recorded tight etc. Thought the vocal on the verse was weak to be honest, sounded a tad oversung in places. maybe try some new lyrics. Overall, catchy tune.

Had a listen to the rest of the stuff on your site. Really impressed. You have a destinctive style but a lot of variation also.

Downloaded - mundane monday and spiders in my head.

Cheers
j Mac

Sorry just re-read your post my first lot of comments was for "A High place and time". Player must have mixed up the tunes.

Spiders in my head is an excellent tune. reminded me of early kravitz with a little influence of later beatles.

Nice job Rami....what can I say? Sounds very good....nice drum sound. I agree with timboZ....excellent vox. (bastard....) :D

Excellent mix man....

Thanx alot J. I realise you were talking about "A Higher Place" in this post. You're not the first to mention that the vocals are a bit weak in the verse. I'll have to take a close look at that and see how I can make it better. Thanx for the advice.

I'm really glad you liked a couple of songs enough to download. That means a lot to me. Thank you.

Dog and Timboz....Thanx dudes. Hope you're not sick of all my re-posts. I'm almost done re-doing my old tunes with the FOCUSRITE. I'll actually have to try and remember how to write a tune again.

Tried to listen - couldn't get it to play.

I'll try later, when I get home...probably my browser here at work being stupid.

I'm seething with envy! Everytime I listen to your songs I'm stunned by how every instument is so f'n clear and seperate yet part of the mix at the same time. Impart your secrets to me or my envy will turn to rage! ;) :D

Amra, the music player on my site causes me problems too sometimes. Thanx for trying.

Super...I don't know what I can impart to you...I eq, I pan, I turn up and down until it doesn't make me vomit, then I figure I'm on the right track....thanx alot for the compliment...don't turn green on me now....!

You have some of the best tones and tunes around. I am always amazed with your work.

I remember parts of this but not sure - are there some changes to the vocal harmonies from the original?

Good choice of harmony notes and a great performance.

The older version, if I recall correctly, had different harmonies and was more chest voice than head voice too......maybe I'm full of it (probably)....haha.....

No matter - these harmonies sound great.....

I also don't recall the "ooohs" at the end - nice way to take it out......

Although the vocals caught my attention the most, the rest of instruments/playing/mixing was, as always, top notch.....

Another successful remix Rami.

:D :) :D :) :D :) :D

I'm still waiting for a tune to top Ivory Tower. That's not to say that this one is shitty, not at all. :D

Thanx for the comments guys.

Ido, you always take the time to listen and comment in detail, I love it. Just so you know, they are the same harmonies as before. I only changed the lead vocal and guitars. Thanx bro.

I just found the player on your music page. That 70's Song was playing on the main page. Once I navigated to the right place I listened.
I remember this track - the dramatic pauses really do grab.
The harmonies are ace & the guitar cuts like a knife.
The bass runs behind the chorus are really good.
I love the bluesy beginning to the outro solo & the Queenish sounds you pull in the last couple of bars.
Something in the yellow snow over there? You, Ido & that mob who dropped the band piece on the forum a couple of days ago. The list of inspired & inspiring post colonials keeps growing. Now if only they'd repeat Due South down here all would be complete.

Typing as I'm listening.... RAMI's down and out... but you still have a great clean sound going here in the intro. Vox sound clear as a spider (that's somehow a compliment) The bass and drumming come in and bring down the house. Really dig the bass sound here, especially those high runs now and then. The electric rhythm that comes in is nice and thick. Really rocks the spiders in heads everywhere. I think a November Rain guitar tone on the solo would sound even cooler. Nice lead guitar harmonies. Would like to hear that solo extended and really rock the end out. Awesome song. Reminds me of RAMI tunes, you definitely have a vibe going. A RAMI vibe or something. I don't know... peace out ;)

Thanx alot guys...hehe...I'm trying to let this thread die so I can post something new without hogging page one. But I wanted to thank you guys for the comments. It's mucho appreciated.

Rami I checked this one out a few days ago, just been to lazy/buzy to post :o

This one bears the same symptoms as your other re-doings, sounds great.
I must say that Pre you bought is king of all investments for you.
I`m really happy to see it played out in actions and not only typed words.

Its one thing reading about an item another thing to see\hear it in action.

As for your playing and preformance, your allways spot on.

You possess great talent and you use it very well.

Cheers on another thumbs up buddy :)

I dig it!
Care to give a rundown of what mics were used?

Thanx lot for the comments guys...Snakedgo, where you been man???

Tarnation: To answer your question, I have:

D-12 kik
SM57 snare
AKG C1000 X2 Overheads
AKG C3000B vocals
SM57 guitar.

Almost everything goes through the Focusrite Voicemaster Pro pre-amp.
