I was trying to figure out what frequency was always turning up in my tracks so I could eliminate it and this made me think about a Spectrum Analyser.
Are there any good Spectrum Analyser programs out there?
Especially ones that could work with whatever software I'm already using?

The Voxvengo VST analyser is pretty good.

Best of all, it's free.

It's a cpu gobbler though

just google for the following (note - 44.1 16 bit only).
the original cool edit 96. the free sound engine.
also there are various ones at hitsquad.com.
or just google for "free spectrum analyser".
in cool edit 96 for example you highlite a section of audio - use a small section - and a frequency graph will display. (look up in the menu on the rh side).
also i think goldwave.com does this as well.
peace.
ps - spectR rings a bell as well.

I use Adobe Audition. Is there anything I could use in conjunction with that?

chewie. there is frequency analysis right inside auditio which is the follow on from cool edit pro which is the follow on from cool 96. unless the feature was dropped. (look in help).

Thanks

Thanks. I actually just saw and was about to post that I did but you beat me to it.
