speaker out to line level converter for recording?

Just wanted to say thanks for pointing out what I should have already known, that I needed an audio file and an mp3 file won't work for me.
I finally got a chance to try this again, this time using Nero, and my downloaded songs succesfully burned to a cd that my player recognizes and plays.
All is well.

Now I can get those sent over to my cd recorder to burn a custom mix. Thanks for helping guide me.
