Hi.
I was wondering....is it possible to set up a SPDIF patchbay??
Can i use my regular pathbay????
I assume that there would be some impedence issues.
I think SPDIF is suppose to be 75ohms.
This is my setup and goal.
I have a DAW (finally!!!) with SPDIF soundcard, a VS880 w/SPDIF, an Ultracurve w/SPDIF adapter, and eventually a J-Station.
I heard that the coverters in the Ultracurve are pretty descent (it will arrive next week) so I figure I can use it as a DI interface (as opposed to using the VS880's converters).
Also, I may want EQ, with the Ultracurve, Acid loops from DAW to 880, or vice versa, mixes on 880 to DAW,.......
.....AND I want to be able to put the Ultacurve in front of the monitors from either the 880 OR the DAW depending on wich way I'm mixing/recording or analysing.
So.....do I need a specialized patchbay?
