SPDIF connection

Hi,

Just wondering if this is possible.

I was wanting to use my AudioExcel AV511 6 channel sound card to decode an external 5.1 digital source (coax).

The sound card has a 2 pin "SPDIF in" connector. If I connect to this will I be able to listen to the decoded output via the sound card?

Probably not. The S/PDIF standard is stereo (2 channel).
