spdif. can I make a cable from coaxial to optical or Op to Co?

I like my recordings.
my soundcard have spdif in the rca way.

what if I have a minidisk or another instrument with the other kind of digital in/out???

are they compatible?
is there an adaptor?
can I sold a cable?
 
Not compatible - But there is hope

Proveras, I had that same situation. My VS-880 has coax S/PDIF and my mini disk has optical. There is an adaptor that you can get that will convert it for you.

I thought i was going to get you a link but was not able to find one at this time. I beleive it is manufactured by midiman. Check your favorite music place. If I am able, I will attempt to post exactly what it is over the weekend. I am currently at work so can't get it to you right now.
 
The item is a MIDIMan/MAudio CO2 (coax to opt or opt to coax) and you can buy it Gand Music (www.gand.com) for $285.
This will allow you to do this.
 
Yeah proveras, thats the beast. I think I paid around 60 for mine. It works great.
