I just bought a new M-Audio midi controller keyboard and I am interested in creating home recordings with a lot of Soundfont use. For a while I have been Using Emagic's Logic Platinum 5.5 but I was finding it very hard to learn, and to use. Ideally what I am looking for is a music production suite that will allow me to be able to use my Soundfonts and VST synths. I would also like a suite with good recording, mixing and effects capabilities as well. I have been looking around the internet trying to find something like this, and was wondering if any Steinberg products would be what I am looking for. Any suggestions at all would be great.

Tracktion is cross-platform, easy to learn and use and supports VST soft synths.

It will also support Soundfonts with the addition of this free Soundfont player.
