Not to be rude .... but what does our opinions on any specific piece of gear have to do with you forming your own opinion?
It's all in the eye (I mean "ear") of the beholder.
What sounds heavenly to one person could very well sound like ass to another.
Work with what you have until you find that there is no possible way to achieve your desired results. Then and only then, should you go out and audition (with your own ears) anything else that may get you where you want to be.
Sure getting other opinions can be helpful in decision making. Provided those opinions correlate with your own ideas of what you want.
Point being .... get out there and try shit.
Record until it hurts ... then record some more. Listening, experimenting and learning the whole way through.
Oh and ..... I've never used any of the Soundtrac boards.
