Here's my situation:
Limited space and close neighbors so I can't be loud + I work nights so I'm up and recording while roomates are sleeping.
My idea:
Build a sound proof box, throw a matress on it and use it as a bed and recording.....box. I figure it will be about 5 feet tall and the size of a full size bed. I was thinking that I would just use layers of plywood until I got the desired quietness.
My questions:
1. Anybody have any good resources for building soundproof walls or any advice?
2. What should I line the inner walls with to make it sound nice. I dont want to really spend a fortune...maybe $1000 tops for the whole project. I was thinking maybe bathroom tile (it works in the shower, right?).
