Why would you think Wavelab or Soundforge could fix your vocals better than your DAW?? what are you using again?? Sonar, right??

Although Wavelab and Soundforge are wave editors, they are mainly used to string together different songs and provide tools to get them to sound coherent then make a master CD to send to a replicator. Whatever you can do to your vocals in WL or SF, you should be able to do in your DAW. Unless I'm missing something.

I haven't tried either of those programs but I have tried Adobe Audition and although I liked all the options it had It was a big processor hog. I have recently started to use Reaper and I'm very impressed and you can't beat the price. What program are you currently using?

Ship me a copy of SoundForge v.10.

I've had good luck with SoundForge and am used to the interface. Wish I could give you some feedback on Wavelab.

Since the software is cheap, and you're rich, why don't you buy both?

things like removing breaths, background noises (which I do a lot of when recording in a downtown apartment) etc..at the moment I have to zoom in and chop them out...it can be done but its a pita...also I may try a spot of mastering, I know I can do that in the daw but again maybe the workflow would be a bit easier in one of these, not forgetting the mastering plugins that come with them???

Wavelab 6 has had some crappy reviews and I can get soundforge pro for less than $50 more...comes with the stripped down ozone suite which sounds interesting...or maybe not so interesting lol
