moskus, you can get the ns kit at this link:

http://www.natural-studio.co.uk/nskit_com/download.htm

You can get 'em in several different formats, and there's also several incarnations of the ns kit (natural studio kit). They're great-sounding drum kits, and velocity layered, to boot! IMO the ns kit version 4d is the best, but I don't think he has it up there anymore. If you email him (Douglas) I'm sure he'll tell you how to get it. Version 6 is real good, too, but he has all the soundfonts packaged seperate. You start with a base pack, which is hi hat and kick, then you add seperate soundfont banks for snares, cymbals, toms, etc. If you put the whole thing together as one big soundfont, you're looking at 119 megs!! You can also d/l all the seperate wave files (LOTS of them!) and make your own SF tailored to your liking. Just check it all out. You'll dig it, I'm sure ! BTW, everything is FREE!!! Go get the stuff, dude !!

That's a great link GuitarEd, and on behalf of the other SoundFont Maniacs, I thank you. :)

Unfortunately, it requires Vienna to compile the SoundFont into one SF2 file. Vienna requires a Creative audiocard. I've got a Terratec. :(

An alternative to Vienna... You can use it with LiveSynth as well. Alive. You should be able to use it with your terratec soundcard. Check it out...

Thanks V-V, I'll try that one and see what happens.

I think you can also use a program called Awave Studio to convert waves to sf2's. I messed with a demo a while back, but as with almost all demos, I couldn't save anything, so I chucked it. I'm pretty sure you can make soundfonts with Audio Compositor, too. I never used V-sampler, but if it's anything like the DR-008, you can d/l the ns kit 6 wave files and build a kit, setting your own velocity triggers. Since I got the ns kit soundfont, I really don't need the DR-008 much anymore.
