Soundcraft spirit studio..who uses one? thoughts please

I'm torn between the soundcraft spirit studio 24/8/2 and the soundtracs topaz project 8 24/8/2

I'd like your views both good and bad on both mixers.

From what I can make out the Topaz seems to have a limited AUX send system when it comess to mix down while the Spirit studio doesn't seem to have as dedicated an EQ

What's the pros & cons?

i did read in this forum that the spirit E do have the same micpreamps as the spirit M. The Member who said this talked with an soundcraft designer and get that info.

I don´t use a spirit but the compact which have the same preamps too and love this.

Go for the Soundtracs. The spirits are troublesome, and have a weird harmonic distortion to them. Didn't you have an Allen Heath?

yeah I did have mate but it it generaly got worse sounding over the past year and it was taking up way too much space. Time to downsize...I'm holding out for the soundtracs Topaz project 8 I think
