ok, here's the story,
i had a studiomaster 16:4:2 which i really liked, an old machine with a little basic humm and hiss, but that isn't noticed when music is played back or recorded, just the AUX were very noizy,
what i totally loved about this mixer was the EQ,
highs, sweepable himids, sweepable lomids (as low as 25hz), and lows

i replaced this mixer with a soundcraft M8 which i also like, its alot more clean, less noise and the music comes trough more powerful,
BUT, i don't really like the EQ !
the lows are fixed on 60db which i find a little low for most purposes, makes most stuff too boomy, the highs are really clean, but there's only sweepable mids,
and i REALLY miss the controll i used to have with those two-sweepable-mids,

so i'm looking for a mixer that is kinda the same as the M8 (or M12) but with, guess what, sweepable hi-and-low-mids

maybe some allen&heath mixer, or another soundcraft,
i like the clean pre's i got now, the eq sounds nice and clean but i just want more control and i have no idea what i should look for

i know i can just plug a bunch of parametric eq's on the inserts, but i only got some low budget outboard eq's and i find that they kinda downgrade my signal path if i use them on this mixer

my budget? i prefer something second hand, between €400 and €800
(i bought my M8 for less than €300, allmost brandnew)
i'm an ebay hunter, so well, lets say the budget can go up to €1000, i'm always looking for real 'cheap' deals

thanks in advance for the info !
