I would suggest that anyone trying to give me assistance should turn down all headphones and monitors prior to listening to noise loop!!!

So I bought a Soundcraft Folio 10 from a friend of mine (who I no longer trust  ) and low and behold..THERE WAS A MASSIVE GROUND LOOP ISSUE WITH THIS THING!! However, I did some simple freq analysis and hum is eminating between 100-300hz. Not sure if this is common, but wanted your ideas on how to fix this small problem. Console is in PRIMO physical condition so this really threw me for a loop (no pun intended). Noise is altered by using console switches i.e. main (L/R) volume, channel panning, etc. But no change when +48v is activated. Seems to be strongest when the MIX INSERTS and channels 7/8 - 9/10 are used. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Pics and or any other information upon request!!

that sample tells us nothing... there's no way to put it in perspective... can only suggest you have a compentent tech check it out... what were you using prior??? have you had noise issues with other equip in the rig??? any meter activity??? have you tried sound through it at all???where are the controlls set at when this happens??? start with everythin down then slwly raise the levels... any channels worse than others or universal???

Was using nothing prior. Needed a mixer to record guitarists and vocalist simultaneously. (Audiophile 192 Interface)

Nothing hooked into the console but headphones currently. Same problem.

Noise gets worse with each channel being raised.

No noise in any of my other equipment.

Meters on mixer work fine.

All mixer controls are at minimum levels.

no way to diagnose this over the web... seems you dont have the skill set to do yourself... looks like it needs to see a doctor....

Is the hum that loud or did you normalize it to digital 0? Will the thing pass any signal at all? Have you tried it connected to another AC source? If this is the only sound the unit can pass, I'd start looking at the power supply.
