hey,
I am doing some home PC recording direct and have an audigy 2zs soundcard. i notice that when i use distortion on my guitars, the recorded sound doesn't sound dead on like what i'm playing..... it is close, but no cigar. so, i'm wondering.
1) is this because of my junky soundcard?
2) do all soundcards react this way?
so, what can i get to upgrade my card? will m-audio audiphile 2496 suit me well?
any recommendations out there?
