I currently have a delta 1010 and I guess it's time to upgrade (hooray tax returns).

So anyway. I was curious in the quality difference between the Lynx 1 and Lynx 2 cards. Is the lynx 2 a LOT better than the 1? I could get a lynx 1 for pretty cheep so I was curious if it would be worth the extra $400/500 jump for the Lynx 2.

Also I was curious if anybody has tried the RME Multiface 2 yet?

How do they compare to the 1010?

I can either get the Lynx 1 and keep the 1010, or I can sell the 1010 and pick up probably the Multiface 2 or a Lynx 2. Hopefully some people have used both (or even all four) and can give me some advice.

Thanks!

I upgraded from a Delta 1010 to an RME Fireface 800 back in November. I noticed a signifant increase in audio clarity. RME makes great products and I believe the converters are the same in the Multiface II.

RME also includes Total Mix and Digicheck software, which are AWESOME tools that I use every time I record. I highly recommend RME for these alone.

I heard good things about Lynx cards but can't comment on them personally. Hope this info helps.

Cheers, Rez
