Soundcard troubles!

Thats the soundcard i have. When i try to record it picks up the beat an everything that plays on my computer. I thought at first my headphones were leaking sound but the beat is way to crisp and clean for that.
I put the mic on mute and played a song off Soundclick. To my surprise when i click record it records the beat....the whole beat all crisp and clean like a perfect download. I checked the control panels and it doesnt say record>stereo output. It just say Record - Mic, Line In, MIDI Devices highlighted. Please help me =\
 
Ahh scract that first post. I was frustrated when i typed that.

Any ways like im using that soundcard but when i record it limits itself to a certain dB. It wont go any higher it all stayed at that dB range. How can i fix this problem?
 
What software are you using to record?
What kind of soundcard is it?
Are you sure your recording device is set to "LINE IN" or "MIC" and not "Stereo Mix" or "Wave"?
