Soundcard out... (Echo vs. SoundMax)

Is there gonna be a big difference in sound quality when I play back through my Mia vs. my on board soundmax card...?

Is there anything I shouldnt play back through the Mia (ie: microsoft sound schemes...?)

The Mia sounds a lot cleaner than standard soundcards, plus you'll get virtually zero latency if you have it set up properly. (I've had one in my P4 for about 6 months).
