Hey, buddy,
Loopback software allows you connect different applications between themselves. It's a software that emulates virtual sound cards: software catch sound at the soundcard input jack, records it to the disk, then reads it again and echoes to the soundcard output jack.
Well, whatever... let's see what I need.
I am using Cakewalk Guitar Studio and I've been recorded some tracks using FruityLoops. Now I need to overdub my guitar solo over that, but when I play I can see the program vu-meter indicating that it's being recorded (and, actually, if I playback it later it will be there!), but the problem is: I need to HEAR what I am playing in the exact moment that I am playing, or else I won't know if my track is ok.
Someone in the forum told me to assign output recording track signal to my soundcard device, but I think that's a limitation from my soundcard (Ensoniq PCI-16), because I can't do that.
About loopback software, there is one called "
Virtual Audio Cable" but the demo version has a long latency (100 ms) and the definitive version is about US$ 35 (very expensive!). I would like to know if anybody has the cracked program or even another solution for my case.
Thank you!
