Soundblaster Options

Hi
I noticed the other day there's an option to change the sampling rate in the recording options for the Soundblaster 1024. Does this actually increase the quality if you turn it up to best, or what?

The highest sample rate will be 48Khz. I'm not convinced that's all too beneficial to run at 48khz on a consumer-grade soundcard. Technically it should make a bit of difference, but the quality of the card itself is the real setback.

I guess my advice is, "you might as well"...48khz doesn't take much more room. You can't mix 48 and 44.1 tracks in the same project, so you'll have to sample the 44 tracks up if need be. Also, you'll have to sample your mixdown to 44.1khz.
