okay, so whats the best way to sound treat a room for acoustic guitar. should i being completely dead? i just have no idea what to listen for in a "good sounding" room. and do i need to spend the money on aurelex or will any kind of foam work in making a vocal booth. i just want to get the best sound i can get on my martin.
if it helps, the sounds i have been getting are kind of boomy. im recording with earthworks SR71s and i also have an ADK Vienna.
any input would be cool.

you can read a whole article by ethan which is EXTREMELY helpful on acoustic treatment here

this is all great material... i highley recomend anyone wondering about this to give it a read. its kinda dry and technical but there is some really cool stuff in there, including how to effectively treat any room more cheap then spending a shitload on aurelex foam.
