sound setting

OK...my pal has a Roland Portastudio...
He bought a USB interface so that he could track in Cool Edit Pro...

so...he records one track....
all is well...
he can hear the playback no problem but, when he goes to record a new track....all he hears is the metronome from CEP through his headphones....
The question is how can he hear what he has recorded while he is recording a new track?


Did that make sense?

in Cool Edit- set the playback device for that track- or each track to whatever you have your cans pluged into- If your using 2.0 each track in multi track view has a rec. button and an out button- click that and pick your device- click same for all tracks so you dont have to do this every time- if that dont work, i dont know what to tell ya
