sound quality

It's prolly been asked about a hundred times before, but i couldn't find it though. I'm looking for a cheap sound card with a decent sound quality, i don't need multiple inputs, ... I just wanna be able to record from my mixer . I've got a SB Live now, which gives me a whole lot of distortion when my mixer's output level is too high:/
Any suggestion would be realy welcome

but first learn to use your Soundblaster correctly.....though its sound isnt the greatest, you shouldnt be getting distortion....watch your input meters on your recording software and make sure u arent clipping.....

I would use a PCI card. Probably the same kind you get when you get a digi-001.
