i have the onboard sound card on my studio machine disabled. (i'm running an old aardvark card and it doesn't play well with others.) when i play a dvd i get picture but no sound. when i play audio cds i get no sound.
my dvd drive soesn't have an earphone output on the front. i was wondering if i can use the cable that runs from the rear of the drive to the motherboard to get audio to my mixer. is that output the same as the headphone output on other drives?
any info is appreciated.
