when i record in soundforge, where should i be peaking on there peak meters? and is that measured as dbfs? when people say to record things and at -18dbfs does that mean in soundforge i should be hitting the -18 on the peak meter? also in soundforge, you can right click the peak meter and there is a list in which u can select "show PPM/VU scale" so on this scale should i be aiming to hit the "0" mark when recording vocals? also is this meter the same VU as hardware mixers?
