Anyone have any experience doing sound for video/short film? I have a commercial studio and some friends of mine are doing a short film. Next thing I know I'm the audio engineer. It will be shot on a fairly high-end DV camera and all editing will be done on computer.
I really have no experience doing on-location sound for video. I'm wondering how much specialized equipment is necessary. I have some ADATs lying around the studio and was thinking about racking one w/ a little mixer to bring out there.
I don't have any shotgun mics or anything like that. I have a pretty standard arsenal of studio mics, though. Any ideas as to what would be appropriate? What about syncing with the video gear?
Any firsthand experience or weblinks or anything would be a great help...
Thanks
