Sound cutting out

I'm sure this has been addressed elsewhere but I'll ask the question here so I only look like a n00b here (instead of on, say, the reaper site).

When I render my projects down to wave files, I find that the sound will randomly cut out in the resultant track. This seems to happen more often with complex mixes than simpler ones (i.e. Final mixes are more likely to be affected than just one or two tracks).

Sometimes this happens even when I render in "Extreme (4096 sinc)" mode.

What's going on, and what can I do to fix this? Has there been an upgrade issued since October or so to amend this?

It sounds like a plugin running in demo mode.

You haven't upgraded REAPER since october? There have been about 8 quadrillion versions since then including Elastique 2

The computer I have it running on isn't networked, so it's a hassle to get updates. Is there a simple way to download the updates to my networked computer and transfer them to my recording machine.

As far as I know, I haven't turned on any plugins. How would I be sure that none are running in demo mode?

Thanks.

Just put the download on a usb key or whatever

Let's try one trick and see if we can narrow stuff down as an experiment.

In the render dialog try it with "limit to 1x realtime" on and lets see what happens

Ok. I'll get back to you on how that works after I upgrade.

(You guys hadn't implemented that checkbox by the edition I downloaded.)

1103 or something like that? I don't have the installer readily available to check, but when I did download the new version, I noticed that the version number jumped by almost 1000.
