allright... me and a friend have decided to start a rap group, and we are going to do everything on my computer. i just bought a mic... a Shure SM58. I am wondering what sound card i should buy. All i want is to use one mic for vocals only. I have about 200 bucks. I am thinking about getting the Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum 5.1. Will this work? Can i plug my mic straight into it without any other board? Thanks.
you are gonna need a mic preamp... the Art TubeMp will hit you up for $100....that leaves you with $100 for a sound card....if you can stretch it to $150, the Delta Audiophile2496 will serve you well......
