Sound Card selection

Hi, soundcard professionals!

Recently I've made a search for a pretty good PCI sound card that match my needs. I play/record MIDI music, so I need a card with good Sound Bank. After all researches, talking to my friends and other musicians I decided to buy Yamaha SW1000XG, and now I am very pleased with it.
But looking through all threads in Home Recording BBS I've never met an advise to somebody to get this sound card, and no any other opinions on that.

So the question is: Did I make a wrong choice?

Thanks in advance:confused:

because...

every site jocks some company's products, go to another site and all people will be talking about is hoontech or echo etc... Although this site shows interest in a lot more cards than most, it still basically buzzes about midiman and aardvark...don't worry about it, it doesn't mean it's not good, although I would be best to take info from this board if any...

What's sound bank? I'm guessing that's an onboard midi sound generator. Most people would choose to use an external sound module and wouldn't want to pay extra for something they wouldn't use.
