newbie asks:
i'm attenpting to transfer analog tape (cassette) to CD via Mac G3 (350 mhz).
if they exist, which would be the best sound card for a Mac to do this?
any thoughts about best software would also be appreciated.
thanx for any help!

Hey Buddy,

I'm a complete newbie here too, but have transferred some old vinyl and cassettes on CD through CD Spin doctor that comes with Toast Titanium 5x.
You don't need a soundcard, just use the Mac's Mic. socket, you can correct the gain within spin doc. A very low-tec way of tape-CD transfer, but it might save you shelling out for a soundcard if that's all you want to do...

JP.

I recommend getting a used card-software bundle for the mac.
You can pick up a used Audiowerk8 or 2 and Logic software for the mac off ebay pretty cheap.
