Sound Absorbing Cinder Blocks

It looks pretty cool. Cinderblocks with built in absorbers. I'm waiting on a call back for pricing and I'll let you know what I find out.

I've seen a similar product before. They used them in the Sydney Entertainment Center, Not a bad idea for that application, not sure they would be effective in a studio situ.

Why do you say that? Do you mean cost effective? Wouldn't it be easier to build a new studio using those then to worry about double walls, air cavities, bass traps, etc. Isn't cinderblock generally a pretty good sound insulator?

I would think if you used those strategically with regular cinderblocks you could get a pretty isolated and balanced room with a little less fuss but I don't know.

I just got a call back from the local guys and it doesn't look like you can even buy it in small quantities. It has to be custom fabricated for the particular job. Oh well.
