Sound absorber

I am moving into a house in the suburbs soon. I plan to keep my studio in a bedroom which happens to be right by the street. Unfortunately this street is busy with traffic. I would like to cut the incoming traffic noise by atleast half.

Any ideas on what kind of absorbers I might be able to use on the wall facing the street? Any suggestions?I am concerned about eliminating incoming noise.
