EXACTLY. i can tell where most of these cats sample from however. why? because i have brothers who used to play a lot of FUNK records. when i say funk i dont mean doobie brothers. i mean P-FUNK the whole gang from parliment funkadelic to the p-funk all stars to bootsy to fred wesley. now go and listen to dr.dre and too short.

As for this ROCK/RAP. Stop hating. you all should feel honored that somebody has decided to copy something that is more than 20 years old. What they are doing now is what RUN DMC did in the begining just different guitar riffs. hell Ice T even did it when he started out. Hip hop will never sit in one place. A force that is strong enough to come from nothing must be expected to show up everywhere. So when you hear of hip hop being mixed with raves,rock, hell country migh even show up on the list, just know that that is a sign of people acknowledging the greatness of it.

my friend i do the rock/rap combo. some of my songs are straight up rock. some are straight up rap while the majority is the combo of the two. if you look at me (like most people do) you would say what the hell is guy doing making music like this? he should be talking about selling dope and drivebys. guess what? i do. however i dont GLORIFY violence and drugs (like most rappers). i come from the streets and i know that the MAJORITY of rappers that spit about the "hard knock life" or about "the concrete jungle" have no clue whatsoever as to what the hell goes on. they think it sounds "HARD" and they wanna do it. im also tired of people thinking that ROCK is "white music". hell man who in the hell is JIMI HENDRIX??????? why did GEORGE CLINTON make MAGGOT BRAIN?????????? rock is OUR music. rap/hip hop is OUR music. OUR music. not black not white not jew not asian not latino but OURS. enjoy it and flip it anyway you can just remember the two rules of the rap /hip-hop game.

1.DONT BITE (you know what that means and its not talking about sampling)

color lines are like soldiers on the front line. only after you get through them can you see what it is that really divides people. social status, intelligence, and poverty. the real great divide is rich and poor. you ever bond with a cat at the bus stop in the middle of winter who is nothing like you racially or otherwise. AS for rappers who talk about the hard knock life killing robbing mugging rapeing dope sellin....... A small percent of them have done it and you can tell who they are. Ask yourself a question. How many killers do you know personally? and how many of them have succesful music careers? Killers dont advertise marketing strategist do. I never said the rock rap fusion is bad, but just usually, it's done badly... to those that do this, why not get a real emcee. And not try to copy the other rap/rock fusions that made the same mistake, doesn't mean it's good. That's why i said Rage has been doing it nicely, because he knows how to emcee, and not rhyme like he's never studied hiphop in his life and only had influneces from other rock/rap fusions. Or mayby they just need pratice, I couldn't say for sure.
