When you've got folks who track and perform so well, bud, the job of mixing becomes infinitely easier.

Actually, the job becomes almost the Hippocratic oath:

"Do no harm."

Otherwise known as:

"Please don't fuck it up." or "Try to do as little sonic damage as possible."

So really all I do is try to get it all level, get the hell out of the way, and let the others shine through. They're the real musicians. I'm just a singer/songwriter who has sense enough to stay out of where I don't belong.
