Hi,

I recently started recording some gameplay on my pc. (Open broadcasting Software)

Unfortunatly, My Sony Vegas 13 does not accept the mp4 file.

Is the file too big or is my GPU to weak. here are my specs :

Msi GT70 Gaming Laptop

OS : Windows 10

CPU : Intel Core i7 -4700MQ

GPU : Nvidia Geforce GTX 770M /3GB GDDR5

Memory : DDRIII(L) 12GB(4GB*3)

1TB 7200RPM + 256GB SSD(SUPER RAID)

Thx

You didn't say if that's the Pro version or not. I use Movie Studio Platinum on an i5 with 16 GB of RAM and have had no problems, so it could be the size of the .mp4 file. But you didn't say what size it is.

In any case, you might get a better response in the Sony Vegas forums or the Muvipix forums.

What does "does not accept" mean?

Were you able to import the file into Vegas?

If no, did Vegas not recognise it as a valid file?

If no, was it on the list of acceptable formats? If no, can you ask Vegas to look at 'all files'? That may just work.

Yes, i have the pro version

The file size is just over 1GB and about 40 minutes long, in 60 fps.
I recorded it in Open Broadcasting Software and the file type is mkv.
When i drag the file into sony vegas it shows a crossed circle.
I also tried to change the file to mp4 but that did not help.
