SONY mxp 2000 broadcast console

HEllo I have the chance to buy a sony mxp 2000 for $400.00 bucks there are 24 channels and no power supply would it be worth it to pull the channels and rack them up for the preamps and EQ's I can't find any info on this thing I did find a schematic from Sony but thats all the info I've found any info would be nice thanks Herman

The Sony MXP line is pretty nice. Much nicer than all the current Soundcraft, Yamaha etc... I would leave it as is and either find a power supply (which you will have to do anyways if you want to rack the channels up) or have one built for you. Most of the sony broadcast consoles also have buss compressors in them. Also, if it uses the same channels config (pin outs etc...) you can drop API EQ's and preamps right into the console. You can also add Avalon EQ's, Forsell EQ's and preamps, and even Hardy preamps. Not only that, but the Hardy add-ins are much cheaper for the Sony consoles than they are for external rackmounts. I think they are only like $350 a channel for the console version.
