My dad found me this mic at a pawn shop. It looks old judging by pics and I'm interested. I haven't been by the studio yet to check it out. I can't find anything on the internet regarding it's specs, quality, freq response. Has anyone here ever heard of this mic and/or used it? I do know it's a condenser. He got it for $25 Thanks!

The "ECM" part stands for Electret Condenser Mic. A picture would help.

Ok I went to my studio to check it out. It actually had the case and manual with it! This thing is oooollld! I tried it out and I think it sounds great on the guitar amp I was using. Could be that it's old and seems kinda rare that I think it sounds good, heh. Anyway, good find, go dad! Oh yeah it takes a AA battery instead of phantom power and has an 1/8th inch end instead of standard xlr.

You can put in a 6V battery in place of the 1.5V, which will increase the dynamic range, lower the noise, and reduce distortion.

Oh! That was one thing I forgot to mention. There's hardly any dynamic range. Thanks Harvey!
