Sony acid pro 5..boy im new

I decided to start using sony acid pro 5..I have a few questions.. I own a firebox and akg preception 200 mic...but as im recording im not getting anything in my headphones (such as the instrumental)...secondly...can anyone help me get my mic to record on both ends...what I mean is when I hit record and monitor the sound it only seems to be moving the left bar..can anyone help? I would appreciate it...thank you...

Ok I had this question before, I can see your new to recording. One, you probaly got those mics that will record in mono. But if you have Sound Forge you can copy the left and paste it into the right so it will be stereo. But I doubt you have that your new. I havent tried doing that Acid Pro 5.0. Well Acid Pro is a program to record not a program to teach about recording if you want to learn about that, and other things on music tech visit this site:http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm Now the headphones comment I dont know are you putting it in the right input. Try all the inputs and play a song to see which one works if its that keep it in there and to play instrumentals upload it on Acid first then press record and it will play the beat while you recording.
