Sonor 4 Prob Importing Tracks

I have sonor 4.0 producer edition ...I have 2 issues with it ..the first is that the tracks recorded on my drummers computer also sonor 4 producer ed. sound like crap on mine ! there is crackling ...artifacts and lots of noise ... over all poor sound quality ... ive checked the sampling rates / settings ... ?? no luck ? also maybe part of the same problem is that the slider which passes over the tracks when playing is out of sync with the tracks ? it seems faster ?? when i open one of the tracks in Media player ... no noise .... sounds good !! i even downloaded new drivers for my sound card which is stock ..realtek on mine ... tracks were recorded with a delta 1010lt ?? if that makes a difference ? also i cannot choose a midi output ? i can only continue with no midi when i start the program ... ? i try to choose a midi out and nothing??

Most of your problems *appear* to be related with your computer system. What are you running?

You can probably get rid of the crackling by increasing your latency settings. Or you can try running MME drivers instead of WDM. MME is not optimal for audio work, but might work better on your system.

To enable midi, you have to have a midi synth. Some sound cards have an onboard midi synth - I am guessing yours does not. You can work around this by using a software synth (DXi or VSTi), instead of a hardware synth.

IM RUNNING ATHLON 64 WITH WINDOWS XP .1 GB OF RAM .. BRAND NEW PC ..VERY CLEAN AND RUNS VERY FAST ON EVERY APP IVE TRIED .. BUT IT COULD BE A DRIVER ISSUE ??? ILL TRY THAT ... THE 1001LT IS ACTUALLY MINE .. I NEED TO GET IT back .. but were recording elsewhere .. and i wanted to at least be able to review out tracks and such here .. maybe tweak a little .. anyway thanks !
 
switching to the mme drivers did it. .... the midi i had to check a box in options for midi send i think... cool thanks
