Has anyone heard of this being done?
The application is for hearing protection for workers where several stations in a production area are using loud engraving equipment. The rest of the people are engaged in quiet tasks.
Otherwise everyone would have to wear airport worker style ear protection and nobody would hear the phone ring!
But the work can be done inside a glovebox that has some HD acoustic insulation; e.g. double or triple pane glass for the window.
I'm wondering what sort of dB reduction could be engineered into an acoustically treated box.
