derived from melodica instrument

phew-! from a 17-year-old pupil from far east
I really don't have connection to anyone that can criticise, review or at least listen to the naive recordings i am creating

every sound is derived from kitchen gadgets and my alto melodica no synth but used software sampler to manipulate

i am not trying to offend you by uploading incomplete piece
but i am currently out of 'tune', 'melody' and also feel much lacked of sensitivity

hehe just want to share the short pieces i am renewing thesedays

ps: i am sorry for the lacking in fluency of my English

hehe now i should really complete a song have a nice day *giggle gaggle*

Hum, Interesting. I don't know if its good or bad. What famous artist do I compare it to?

Very interesting. I like it. But I'm into weird music too. And why compare it to a famous artist?? Not every song needs to be related to someone famous. Some of the best music I've ever heard never becomes famous.

If you are interested in odd musical instruments, check out John Cage's "Child of Tree" which uses amplified Cactus as instruments. Extremely interesting. Also, an old teacher of mine, Paul Rudy's "Degrees of Separation--Grandchild of Tree" which was inspired by John Cage's work. There's another peice too (maybe by Cage as well) where they use other house hold fruits and vegetables as instruments. Although, to like it you might have to be into tape/electronica works...however one can still appreciate the composition.

I'm not saying its bad. I just don't know how to judge it.

oh, many thanks!

oh, many thanks people :) i will try completing these pieces and upload for another review.

bennychico, i am also very much interested in john cage's works and also by brian eno.

i really appreciate your information on the cactus amplified instrument, it really attracts my interests, i should really check out the recordings!!

i fantasise much about discovering new and raw materials too..

i really want to learn to use reaktor or algorithmic sound processing max/msp stuff.

i always find the importance of sonic material as i believe the structure of songs is based on harmony and counterpoint or arrangements but the spirit and the accurate illustration of a certain emotional status can be achieved by the slight change in interval of tones in raw and new sonic texture.

i really love the music with great tunes and with the intervals that can locate my emotional situation according to a slight change in a base tone by altering minor / major mood!! like the works by schoenberg, múm, björk etc :)
