I got this listing from Taxi and was rejected. I have never been sure I would get forwarded, but I thiught I hit the nail on the head with this one. I guess not. What do you guys think? Does the song match the criteria? Maybe I'm off me rocker.

Listing:

AFRICAN MUSIC is desperately needed by a "Specialty Markets" Publisher located in Florida for an upcoming project to be used in Zoos across the country (they're putting together a compilation CD to be sold in Zoo gift shops around the country). They asked for Tribal -sounding, African-ish instrumentation, melodic, theme-like, mysterious, and adventurous, but most of all, melodic. African drums and rich vocal tribal chants ok. Please avoid having sound effects and animal sounds on your track. This listing recently ran as #Y031224AF, but they passed on those forwards. If you were forwarded to that listing, please do not submit the same material for this listing. Broadcast quality needed--Great sounding home recordings are just fine.

A. Nice tune

B. Nice recording

But yeah, it doesn't really fit the "African Tribal Sound" bill...

Great snare sound... It does have that "journey" (not the band) feeling to it, though...

Thank you. I guess I was thinking "Paul Simon" = African sound, which was what I was going for.

Anyway - thanks for checking it out and I'm glad you like it. Cheers!

I think the tune is nice..but relies on the synths and guitars to promote it. If it contained more rhythmic stuff with percussion, I think you would have had a better chance. Think "logs" instead of snare...
