Hi, short couple questions.

What mode do most of you record in? Normal or Extended?

Also, Can I off load the demo song onto my pc and store it (in case I ever want to reinstall it) then clean up the card so I can fit more time on it?

I am assuming you are asking about the MR8? Normal is better. And yes using either the wav editor (from the fostex site) or the usb way, you can send it to the computer and edit it there. Then you can leave a reference track and erase the other ones and add new tracks to it. Or send tracks back to the recorder at a later time with the wav editor.

modes

extended mode is good for quick recordings, or if you are going to mix down to a cassette player, if you want to move track to the computer,, or mix down to a cd, it HAS to be in normal mode or it wont work, files must be 16bit mono at 441 sampling rate, which is what normal mode will give you....
