I have a second song I've recorded. "Deepest Regrets". I wouldn't mind getting feedback on this one too. It's a really mellow piece. I was going for a raw sound with good atmosphere, but producing/mixing is new to me...I'm wondering if you think something different should/could have been done.

I didn’t like the loud and sharp guitar start (again you are burying the vocal), but I really love the way the song develops musically. However it reaches a point where it insists on having a band backing, and by that it means you are going to have to get a decent distorted guitar sound. Also, the bass at the end sounded like a detuned guitar.

And the song that comes on after this has too much hiss, but a more direct vocal (and works vocally).

(oops- I listened to "Take me On") ok, lemme fix this...

"Deepest Regrets" - Good tune, very mellow, almost beat-poet-esque. Good job with the bridge and slightly different melody towards the end - that keeps the listener from nodding off during a soothing song like this. It's like listening to my own voice - you have a similar tone - I hope your range is not as limited as mine. Don't forget to push it up a 5th at least for build energy (pre-chorus/chorus/bridge), if you can and it fits, to keep it interesting. Lots of hiss, probably from heavy compressors on the acoustic.
Pleasant listen!
