Sonar XL VU meter delay

There's a delayed reaction with my monitoring VU meter when playing my instruments through through my Echo Layla. Viewing through Layla's control panel meter the sound is reproduced real-time. PIII 800, 640Mb ram pc133, 100mhz IBM 30 Gig drive, any suggestions?

yep

Off the top of my head, and I've been out partying... go to options|audio, and bring the latency slider down to about 10ms-20ms. If this doesnt give you a problem, go down some more, if it does, go up a hair til your probs quit.
