I have an Aardvark Q10 and Sonar. Sonar thinks that the Q10 is a 5 in 5 out interface. But the inputs are grouped in twos. Say I make a track and I am going to choose the input. I can choose left (1,2), right (1,2), stereo (1,2), left (3,4), right (3,4) stereo (3,4)....all the way to 9,10. I was wondering if I am right when I think this...
When I choose left (1,2) I am choosing input 1 by itself. If I choose right (1,2) I am choosing 2 by itself, and if I choose stereo I am choosing both as the inputs. It seems like I am correct when saying this but just making sure.
Thanks a lot,
Daniel

Hey Daniel - that should be exactly right, the way you said it. The Q10 is 10 in/out, meaning 5 stereo pairs (or at least seen by recording interfaces that way). My Direct Pro LX6 is the same way - I can choose 1,2 left, right, or stereo.

Can't wait to hear how you like the Q10 - looks like a sweet setup.

I am really a newbie, but I am getting wonderful sounds using this thing with an Audio Technica 4033 and Rode NT3 on my Taylor 12 string acoustic guitar.
